Introducing the new Edovo homepage

A more personalized, empowering learning experience is here! 

Edovo is excited to introduce a redesigned homepage built to better support every learner on their path to personal growth. The new design is more intuitive, more personalized, and puts educational progress at the forefront, making it easier than ever to stay on track and achieve learning goals.

This update was driven by learner feedback and informed by our mission: to make education accessible, relevant, and effective, designed exclusively for incarcerated individuals. 

So, what changed?

The previous version of Edovo’s homepage offered a basic dashboard and standard list-style navigation. While it served its purpose, it didn’t fully reflect the central focus of Edovo: the learner’s journey.

With the new homepage, every design decision was made to support that journey from the very first login, ensuring each persson who uses Edovo feels welcomed, supported, and empowered to take the next step in their education.

A personalized first step

When learners log in for the first time, they’re greeted with a personalized pop-up that includes their name—creating a welcoming, human-centered first impression. They’re then invited to watch a short introductory video that highlights what’s possible with Edovo, and how to make the most of the platform.

From there, learners can choose between:

• A step-by-step interactive walkthrough that guides them through how to navigate the platform, or
  
  
• Diving straight into the Content Library, which houses more than 35,000 pieces of educational and reentry-focused content.
  
  

Learners can explore by category or use the built-in text search bar to find topics they’re interested in, from GED prep and parenting skills to career training and mindfulness.

A smarter homepage, every time a learner logs in

After that first login, learners are brought to their new personalized homepage. The redesigned layout includes clear, clickable cards for core tools:

• Certificates and Transcripts
  
  

For facilities using premium features, tools like the Resume Builder will also appear directly on the homepage, ensuring every learner sees what’s available to them.

A ‘Recently Started’ section helps learners pick up right where they left off, with just one click. It also shows whether the course offers a certificate—providing a built-in motivator to keep going.

Certificates and transcripts are now easier to find and view, giving learners a clear picture of their progress and achievements. And’ Learning Paths,’ curated sequences of content grouped by subject area—are just a tap away, offering guided journeys through topics like GED prep, “One Week on Edovo,” and higher education-focused courses. 

A fresh look and feel

The homepage design reflects Edovo’s recent rebrand, with a cleaner, more contemporary layout and updated color palette that aligns with our public site. The interface is easier to navigate and visually organized to support focused learning, even in low-resource environments.

Why this matters: Designed for incarcerated learners

For people navigating the criminal justice system, access to clear, empowering educational tools can be life-changing. But access alone isn’t enough—the experience must also be intuitive, encouraging, and designed to meet learners where they are.

Many incarcerated learners face significant barriers to education. They may not have had consistent access to digital technology, structured curriculum, or even positive learning experiences in the past. That’s why guidance and ease-of-use aren’t just “nice to haves”—they’re essential.

The redesigned homepage:

Every part of this update was built with dignity, autonomy, and real-world outcomes in mind. Because when learners feel like the platform is made for them—and when it’s simple to start, navigate, and succeed—they’re far more likely to stay engaged, build skills, and unlock new opportunities.
