Healthy Effective Relationships is a self-paced correspondence course designed to help incarcerated learners understand, evaluate, and strengthen the way they show up in relationships. The course guides participants through the core foundations of healthy connection, including self-awareness, communication, conflict resolution, trust, intimacy, boundaries, and long-term relationship maintenance. Through reflective questions, written processing assignments, and declarations of personal commitment, learners are encouraged to examine past relationship patterns, identify unhealthy behaviors, and develop practical tools for building respectful, accountable, and non-abusive relationships. This course can support rehabilitation, reentry preparation, and personal transformation by helping participants internalize healthier beliefs, make responsible choices, and apply relationship skills in intimate, family, friendship, work, and community settings.
