This short series explores Mannerism, an art style that followed the High Renaissance in the 1500s. You will see elegant, stretched figures by Parmigianino, Bronzino's polished portraits, and Cellini's bronze Perseus. You will also see early work by El Greco. Mannerist artists bent the rules of realism to create drama and style.
