Ancient Art: Art History Videos

This series explores the art of the ancient world. You will travel from the prehistoric Venus of Willendorf to ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Rome. Along the way, you will see Greek temples, famous sculptures like the Discus Thrower, painted Roman gardens, and the grounds of an emperor's villa. Several videos also show how museum experts care for and restore ancient art today. These works show how people thousands of years ago saw beauty, power, and the divine.
