This series explores derivatives, which measure how fast something is changing. You will learn how the derivative is the slope of a tangent line and how to find it using rules like the quotient rule. You will also meet the formal definition of a limit and a few challenging problems. Derivatives are used in physics, economics, and engineering. You should be comfortable with algebra and have been introduced to limits.
