About this content

Build the knowledge, skills, and lived-experience wisdom of a Peer Support Specialist, strengthen your own recovery journey, and earn a certificate of completion through Edovo.

This seaven-module program prepares you to step into one of the most meaningful roles in behavioral health care. You will learn what recovery really means, how to support someone through trauma, how to navigate the systems that shape people's lives, and how to use your own story as the most credible tool you bring to the work. Across seven modules, you will move from foundational recovery principles into applied skills like trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and group facilitation, and into the professional responsibilities of ethics, documentation, and self-care. Two modules are built specifically around the justice-involved experience. The program closes with a focused lesson on supporting members experiencing some of the most misunderstood mental health challenges.

Throughout all seven modules, 168 open-response reflection questions invite you to connect what you are learning to your own life. Because the truth is — your lived experience is not a liability. It is your greatest qualification.
