Italian Art History: Art History Videos

This series explores Italian Baroque art from the 1600s. You will see the dramatic light and shadow in Caravaggio's paintings and the lifelike marble sculptures of Bernini. You will also see Artemisia Gentileschi's self portrait and stunning painted ceilings that seem to open up to the sky. Baroque artists wanted to move viewers with emotion and drama.
