Eliminations: Science Videos

This series covers elimination reactions in organic chemistry, where a molecule loses atoms to form a double bond. You will learn the E1 and E2 mechanisms, how to predict which product forms, and how to tell elimination apart from substitution reactions. These are core ideas in a college organic chemistry course. You should already know basic organic chemistry, including Sn1 and Sn2 reactions.
