Parametric Equations: Math Videos

This short series introduces parametric equations and polar coordinates, two new ways to describe curves. Parametric equations use a third variable, often time, to trace a path. Polar coordinates describe points by distance and angle instead of x and y. These tools are used in physics, engineering, and navigation. You should be comfortable with trigonometry and graphing.
