This short series focuses on Giotto, an Italian painter from around 1300 who is often called the father of Western painting. You will tour his famous Arena Chapel, covered with scenes from the Bible, and see several of his altarpieces. Giotto painted people with weight, emotion, and real space around them, which paved the way for the Renaissance.
