This series covers the probability and statistics taught in a first college course. You will learn about random variables, the binomial and normal distributions, z scores, and the central limit theorem. You will also build confidence intervals, compare groups, and use the chi square test. Statistics helps you judge claims in news, science, and polls. You should be comfortable with algebra. Some earlier exposure to basic probability will help.
