"F(r)iction is an art and literature anthology carefully curated to evaluate an important cultural topic from vastly different perspectives. From essays to comics to the wildest reaches of our imaginations, each issue inspires us to think differently.
This triannual anthology is an imprint of Brink, an international storytelling nonprofit and independent publisher. Brink runs storytelling programs in underserved communities, using F(r)iction as a teaching tool to empower people to turn the page toward a better future.
F(r)iction #18: Legacy digs deep, and we mean down to the marrow. These stories tease out the tensions between family portraits, reject bitter histories, and practice remembrance in the face of loss. What echoes do our choices project into the world? What echoes buffet us from the past? This unruly archive reveals, with bone-cutting intimacy, what—for better or for worse—binds us to one another. "
